Today finally I completed new theme called Dots v4, remember last year I released earlier versions. But this time Dots theme is full SVG, earlier it was QVGA version using specific sized raster background image.

Dots v4 is specially designed for S60v5 but should work on any s60v3 with few minor issues & partially compatible with S60v3 E-Series handsets, also should work on Symbian^3 handsets. I didn’t run any test on S60v3 nor on Symbian^3 though, let me know its performance & issues if occurred.

Below you can download Dots v4 for multiple platform. For Nokia N900 (i.e. MAEMO OS) its a panoramic background & for PC its wide screen wallpaper. As usual Dots v4 also comes with two varieties i.e. customized version & lite version, whereas customized version comes with tehkseven iconset (thanks to Jon) & lite version doesn’t includes any icons.

Dots v4 customized version should work fine but it may slow download you handset slightly due to hundreds of icons included inside the package but lite version will run pretty fast.

Note: This free theme doesn’t comes with any extra features as well as support nor I will be liable if your handsets gets any kind of damage. Please install it on your own risk.

Recently I got a chance to trial the Nokia N900 from womworld, & I want to express big thanks to whole entire team for giving me a chance to understand & know the new OS as well as UI other than Symbian OS. N900 is one of the best of the best mobile computer by Nokia comes with full mobile computing & lots of features that every mobile geek needs. The Maemo 5 OS based on Debain Linux distribution, & lots of features included Nokia N900 definitely have a wow factor. It makes a different experience than mobile OS, feels like operating mini laptop.

Nokia N900 runs on pretty fast ARM Cortex A8 600 MHz processor paired 256mb total amount of RAM & 32GB of internal memory is just like a big wallet for keeping series of music albums/tracks, videos/movie clips, documents etc.

I was really impressed with handsome build quality, awesome QWERTY keypad & the 5mp camera nicely captured decent 2576×1936 pixels snaps, recorded movie up to 25 frames per second & dual flash made much better snaps.

The speed & ease of use of Nokia N900’s QWERTY keypad was quite fast than the on-screen QWERTY keyboard of my 5800XM & makes messaging too easy & faster than before.

Watching movies & listening music was quite enjoyable although the speakers didn’t impressed me but I liked the arrangement of the speakers like Nokia N95. They were placed correctly & makes sense of surround sound effect. I hope Nokia N97 & Nokia 5800XM would have same type of placement of speakers instead of placing both speakers at same side.

Touch response was quite responsive, definitely better than Nokia N97 & Nokia 5800XM. And four customizable home-screens, widget, shortcut, & bookmark support just rocks, & feels so cool having them randomly.

Playing games on Nokia N900 was more than fun & never tired of playing games at free time I had.

Surfing internet was much better, faster than on my 5800XM, & too impressed with that web browser btw.

N900 has perfect application manager. The best I liked about the application manager update notification for the installed apps.

I wish those unhappy Nokia users should try Nokia N900 & I hope Nokia makes more prefect mobile computers like Nokia N900 in future.

Lets come to the point, Nokia N900 is a good phone everybody knows it. It has great features & awesome OS. The main reason I trialed Nokia N900 is to taste new OS, & do some contents for it. The result is yes, I can do some contents for Nokia N900 i.e. panoramic backgrounds & themes. Panoramic backgrounds can be done without any issue but themes have minor issues on making Debian package. Anyway its not a big issue for me, soon I will start sharing some themes for Nokia N900.

After trialing Nokia N900 I’m just infected by Maemo OS, probably there will be Maemo based phone with me in future for sure.

Today I’m sharing here some original themes taken from Nokia C6 handset. Very good themes light & dark both runs quit fast on my 5800xm & should work with all s60v5, s60v3 handset although I’m not sure.

Some minor bugs may appear on some handsets, being original theme please don’t ask me to fix those bugs & also please read “Read Me” file & install these theme at your own risk.

Today I finished N8 type new theme called as “Horizon Black” for all s60v5 handsets. Again this theme is not for s60v3 & e-series users. Horizon Black is done with two variants i.e. 1) Tehkseven iconset version & 2) Lite version, install as per your choice & enjoy!

Horizon is made from screenshots taken from Nokia N8 theme & some of the elements are used from Nokia 6700 slide original Nokia theme. This theme may not work with s60v3 or e-series handsets as it is only for s60v5.

Today I’m sharing Nseries 2 & Nseries 5 themes obtained from Nokia N97 mini Golden Edition. I have tested these two themes & noticed working fine without any issues on Nokia 5800XM although some of you may encounter issues while you try to install.

I have included Nseries 2 theme too, because it looks like it is updated i.e. background turned into full black instead of gray.

Please don’t forget to read the read me file or pup-op text message while installing theme. Its really very important..

Finally I have done new theme for S60v3 & S60v3, I hope you like it. Android theme (don’t go with name) works very well on Symbian 5th Edition although I didn’t tested on Symbian 3rd Edition but should work without any issues. I’m also sharing full project source files this time due to so many requests.

Please read the instructions inside the project archive if you are going to use it. Edit it as per your interest and enjoy!

Not sure but may be in fews days I will do for E-Series & S60v3 Pre-FP1.
